Education and Experience
Jim Gray MD completed a Bachelor of Arts degree at Mississippi State University in 1995, and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Southeast Missouri State University in 2000. In 2005, he completed his medical degree from the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. He completed his residency at the University of Mississippi and a musculoskeletal fellowship at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. During his time at the University of Mississippi, Dr. Gray received some of the best training in the nation.
He also served with the United States Army National Guard between 1996 and 2005. On top of his commitments to his practice, Jim Gray MD worked as a Medical Officer with the United States Army Reserve.
Jim Gray MD decided early on in his career to specialize in radiology. Dr. Jim Gray believes that working in a small and specialized practice allows him to maintain expertise in many modalities of radiology and to make a bigger impact in the community. Dr. Gray and his team work with local hospitals performing x-rays, PET scans, CT scans, and MRI scans to assist in the diagnosis of diseases.
Over time, Jim Gray MD has seen radiology evolve to become more effective at the early detection of diseases — particularly regarding women’s health issues such as breast cancer. Dr. Jim Gray focuses particularly on the early detection of breast cancer as a radiologist, which has led to more awareness, enhanced research and longer-term survival rates.
As a successful radiologist, Jim Gray MD works tirelessly to put his staff and patients first. He believes that radiologists are the first line of diagnosis for patients who need care, and he takes pride in providing physicians with accurate imaging to best assist patients in restoring their health. He looks forward to furthering advances in technology which will only continue to improve patient survival rates over time.
Jim Gray MD is a proud father of three children. He and his family are actively involved in the Catholic school system. They also volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. In his free time, Dr. Gray enjoys traveling across the southern United States with his children’s competitive cheer team. Dr. Gray has hopes to complete several medical missions in the future when his children are older. Dr. Gray and his family also enjoy boating, going to the movies and traveling.
